       Merit Badge Day Registration
       *Registration is open today - March 21st, 2016 for Merit Badge Day that takes place on Saturday June 29th, 2016 and Saturday July 27th, 2016. June 29th - Workshops: First Aid ($25), Insect Study ($25) July 27th - Workshops: Sustainability ($25), Oceanography ($25). Merit Badge Day offers boy scouts the opportunity to complete most or all of the requirements for a single badge in just one day!        City of Texas City Easter Egg Hunt 5:30-6:30pm
       *Easter egg hunt, prizes for golden egg, meet the Easter Bunny, music and fun.  Event is free and open to children ages 2-10.  Under 2 will receive a treat and visit with the Easter Bunny, but not be allowed in egg hunt area.  TC Easter Egg Hunt

UTMB Levin Hall

       Mini Medical School 6-8pm
       *For those who have always wanted to know more about how the body takes in oxygen and expels carbon dioxide, how the body fights off infections, or how blood circulates throughout the body, among other topics, The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston is hosting a Mini Medical School. A series of seven lectures beginning on March 23 will cover topics such as the respiratory system, the immune system, the nervous system, the cardiovascular system, the digestive system and health equity. All classes will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. at UTMB’s Levin Hall, 1006 Market Street, Galveston. The series is free, open to those 16 and older and those interested can attend one or all sessions. But space is limited and registration is required. The registration deadline is March 16.        *Looking for something FUN? Hop aboard the M/V Baysmart Express for a 3 hour informative and scenic tour! Watch the pelicans soar over Offatts Bayou as you head into the Intercostal Waterway and pass under the Galveston Causeway Bridge. Be awed at the marine cargo vessels maneuvering in the Galveston and Houston Ship Channels. Dolphins surfacing are always exciting! Departing from and returning to the Sea Scout Base Galveston.        *Grab you basket and hop on by the Alvin Parks & Recreation's Lights Out Easter Egg Hunt! The Easter Bunny has been working hard to hide all the glow in the dark eggs just for you.        Bucket Brigade Interpretive Beach Tours 9:30am-4:30pm (Tours departing at various times)
       *Come spend an hour on a Bucket Brigade Interpretive Beach Tour, and learn about the creatures and features that make Galveston's marine and coastal ecosystems so special! Tours provide free hands-on exploration of questions such as: Why does the water change colors? How is seaweed a good thing? How do I connect to the ocean? The tours are educational and fun for ocean lovers of all ages. Each tour caps at 20 participants, but with multiple tours each day, they welcome individuals and groups. Sign-up for tours is on location, but if your group would like to reserve a tour, email the Bucket Brigade Coordinator at kguidroz@artistboat.org, or call Artist Boat at (409)770-0722.        *Come hang out at HPP for their 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt! They will have the Easter Bunny on site for photos, (bring your own camera) goodie bags, friendly egg hunt for all ages, crafts, face painting, and more!   HPP Egg Hunt 

Walnut Park Webster (Off Island)
       City of Webster Easter Egg Hunt 10-11am
       *A fun Easter egg hunt and for children ages 0-10! Children will hunt eggs in age groups, and prizes will be awarded for special eggs.  There will even be a senior citizen's division!  Children can visit and take pictures with the Easter Bunny.   Webster Hunt

Haute Mommies & Bella Babies - Maternity and Children's Boutique (Off Island)
       Haute Mommies & Bella Babies Easter Egg Hunt 11am-3pm
       *This is their first annual Easter Egg hunt and party! Children up to 12 years old are welcome to participate. Participation is free however, they will be collecting and encourage donations of new or loose diapers, unopened formula, wipes or checks for Bay Area Turning Point.  In order to participate in the event, please select a time slot (to limit risk to the little ones and maximize fun, they will be limiting the number of participants in each hunt). Upon arrival, please go into the store to register, fill out a liability waiver, and obtain a sticker (which will be your little one's ticket to participate)!        *Bring your Easter baskets and join the church for the 2016 Easter Eggstravaganza! This FREE festival will include dozens of carnival games, prizes, bounce houses, face painting, photos with the Easter Bunny, and TWO GIANT EGG HUNTS with more than 20,000 eggs (for kids 12 and under)!

Helen Hall Library League City (Off Island)
       Special Needs Kids' Easter Egg Hunt 2-4pm
       *This is such a cool idea and event! Children with special needs need to celebrate holidays too! Mom of special needs son, Katherine Sanger, is hosting an egg hunt to provide that for kids who cannot attend other egg hunts, because of the assistance they may need from a parent.  If your child could benefit from an egg hunt designed to fit his or her needs, register for the event beforehand. Space is limited, as Katherine is financing this on her own.  Donations are helpful, so please let her know if you can provide some assistance too.  Groups of 20 will hunt for eggs every 30 minutes.  Special Needs Hunt

       Easter in the Gardens 11am-3pm
       *Annual Easter Egg Hunts are scheduled, and children 9 years old and younger are invited to run around the Oleander Bowl filled with colorful eggs. You can enjoy a variety of free activities including Easter Egg Hunts, games and prizes, face painting and a petting zoo! The Easter Bunny will also be stopping by to join in the festivities. In addition to all of the fun and excitement outdoors, Easter Buffet feasts will be available at both the Garden Restaurant and the Moody Gardens Hotel on Easter Sunday. Free to the public!

       *Hop down to Galveston Island for a delightful brunch and Easter egg scavenger hunt at The San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center.        Bay Exploration 10-11:00am  
       *Tours start at the Nature Learning Center and are led by volunteers from the Galveston Bay Area TX Master Naturalist. Come join the fun of seining, finding out more about fiddler crabs and experience all the bay has to offer.
