Hope y'all had a great weekend! Rosenberg Library is busy this week, with lots of activities to get you out of the heat! Drop in games on Monday, Alternative Rock with Ranger Lisa on Thursday, Mario-Kart Tournament on Friday, and Drag Queen Story Hour on Saturday. Enjoy a night out on Friday Night while Clay Cup Studios watches the kids at Parent's Night Out - Woody Car Banks. Don't forget to stop by for Free Sandcastle Lessons at Stewart Beach on Saturday! Or try a Sandcastle Competition at Galveston Island State Park! On Sunday, make sure you check out the Stay and Play Fireworks on the Seawall! Have a great week!

The class is over in 2 hours, but the memories will last a lifetime!  Call to reserve a space, $20 per class, all art supplies, snacks and drinks included.

Happy Father's Day! I hope it was amazing for all you awesome Dads!! On Monday, drop in to Rosenberg Library for rock painting! Also Chess for Kids starts back up Monday afternoon. Comedian Kirk Marsh will be there on Thursday for family friendly laughs! Saturday, Galveston Harbor Tours are offering their Marine Biology Tour on the SEAGULL II. They only offer these on select Saturdays, so get your tickets quickly! Have a fun week!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Tuesday is the monthly SMART Party at The Spot. You can also listen to the Galveston Beach Band on Tuesday nights. This is weekly through August. It's always a fun time! Thursday is Family Free Night at Galveston Children's Museum - great way to get out of the heat! Friday Rosenberg Library is hosting a birthday party for Henry Rosenberg (ages 6-12 only) and the Galveston Cajun Festival kicks off Friday evening and runs through the weekend. On Saturday check out Galveston Island Brewing's 4th Anniversary, Shadow Puppets with Greg Ruhe at Rosenberg Library, and Juneteenth parade in the evening. On Sunday, head on over to Jack Johnson Park for a picnic in the park to celebrate Juneteenth! Also celebrate Father's Day at Pleasure Pier or The Bryan Museum, both have free admission for Dads. Happy Early Father's Day - have a great week!

The island is bustling as school is over and summer vacation has begun!! Rosenberg Library has started their summer activities and they have some great ones. This week check out Magic Show with John O'Bryant on Tuesday, Teen Tabletop RPG on Wednesday, and Drag Queen Story Hour on Friday. Friday is World Oceans Day and you can join Artist Boat for their festival, Moody Gardens for their activities or Rosenberg Library for drop-in activities. Bands on the Sands starts up at Palm Beach on Friday Night. On Saturday, there is lots to do with Sandcastle Building Lessons at Stewart Beach, Family Day at Ocean Star, and Music Nite on the Strand. Quite the busy week! Hope it's awesome for y'all!
