It's the last week in September and fall is upon us!! Well, sort of. It's going to be a real fun week! On Tuesday, Bluebonnet Nominee Author Crystal Allen will be at Rosenberg Library to share her story. The Galveston Island Shrimp Festival starts on Friday and continues through Saturday. This weekend Galveston is offering a "Galveston Cares" weekend to support Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Beaches, trolleys, and seawall parking will all be free and there will be discounted admission to a number of other places! Make sure to visit the website for information on everything! Also on Saturday you can check out the Galveston Battle on the Bay, Family Beach Challenge at East Beach, and Edible Creepy Crawlies walk at Galveston Island State Park. Have a great week!

Watch the pelicans soar over Offatts Bayou as you head into the Intercostal Waterway and pass under the Galveston Causeway Bridge.
