Weekly Events & Activities Sept 11th-17th
I hope everyone is starting to return to their new normal following Harvey. My prayers are with all of Florida as they currently battle Irma. I know many Houston area families are still in the process of rebuilding and getting through this. Please let me know if you know of a family or individual still needing help and I will do all I can to assist in an way possible! The weather is getting cooler here which makes for some real enjoyable activities! Please keep in mind to check to make sure the activity is still on as some businesses are still recovering. Storytime is suppose to be starting up on Monday with an extra special Baby Time at the library. I haven't heard if this is still on as the library is still getting on their feet from Harvey. Tuesday is the monthly SMART Family Literacy party at The Spot and Thursday is Family Free Night at The Children's Museum! NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) will have their ship Oregon II docked at Pier 21 on Friday and will be giving FREE tours!! On Saturday, check out Fiestas Patrias at Saengerfest Park or Paint Party at Galveston Island State Park. Sunday is the Captain Kids Triathlon at Moody Gardens. Make sure to register if you haven't already! Keep strong Galveston - have an awesome week!

*Come be a kid with your kids and let your infants and toddlers enjoy some sensory activities while creating fun and cute pieces of art. The class is over in 2 hours, but the memories will last a lifetime! Call to reserve a space, $20 per class, all art supplies, snacks and drinks included.

Sea Star Base Galveston
Schooner Sundays 11-5pm (Every Sunday)

Watch the pelicans soar over Offatts Bayou as you head into the Intercostal Waterway and pass under the Galveston Causeway Bridge. Be awed at the marine cargo vessels maneuvering in the Galveston and Houston Ship Channels. Dolphins surfacing are always exciting! Departing from and returning to the Sea Scout Base Galveston.
