Weekly Events & Activities Oct 2nd-8th
It's October!! And that means the island is buzzing with all kinds of events and activities. We have festivals, ghost tours of all kinds, and halloween activities galore! And this week kicks it all off! Tuesday is National Night Out and Galveston has lots of communities participating. See if your neighborhood is on the list! Check out Instrument Petting Zoo on Wednesday at The Rosenberg Library. On Thursday, the Pumpkin Patch at Moody Methodist opens and the Harvest Moon Regatta comes to Galveston. Pleasure Pier is offering Galveston Appreciation Day as well and is a great place to view the Regatta! Friday, Friends of Rosenberg Library opens their annual used book sale and it runs through Saturday. Speaking of Saturday, it is jam packed with the Mini Maker Faire at Galveston Children's Museum, Big Sit and Zombie Apocalypse Hike at Galveston Island State Park, Movie Nite on the Strand at Saengerfest Park and so much more! *Come be a kid with your kids and let your infants and toddlers enjoy some sensory activities while creating fun and cute pieces of art. The class is over in 2 hours, but the memories will last a lifetime! Call to reserve a space, $20 per class, all art supplies, snacks and drinks included.
