Galveston Restaurant Week
       Everyday Jan 9th-23rd
         *Brought to you by Galveston.com & Company. During these two weeks, participating restaurants will be offering special lunches and dinners. And all are priced right, from $10-$40. This is a great way to try out a restaurant you have been wanting to try!    Restaurant Week

        *Come for stories, music, puppets, and fun!
        Paws to Read 3:30-4:30pm (Jan 8th-May 13th - Every Friday)

Pleasure Pier
         Kid For A Day Hours Vary - Only open Friday evenings & All day Saturday and Sunday (Jan 8th-February 28th)
         *Everyone pays the $19.99 kid price for all day ride passes!   Pleasure Pier

Tremont Gallery Galveston
         Children's Art Glass 3-6pm (Jan 15th-May 13th - Every Friday)
        *For children ages 6-14! Cost is $20 per class; art supplies and snacks provided. Tremont Gallery will be offering these every Friday afternoon with a different theme each class.   Children's Art Class

Downtown
2508 Post Office
      Galveston’s Own Farmers Market 9-1pm  (Every Sunday)    
      *Pick up some local produce and help support local farmers and growers. They usually have a kids corner here and an artist playing some tunes.  Farmers Market

         Day Camp - MLK Day - WHOO Am I 10am-12pm
        *Kids can come and paint a cute owl on canvas and come up with one word that best describes whoo they are. Cost is $25.    MLK Day Camp

Moody Gardens
         Martin Luther King Jr. Day Special 10am-6pm
         *All Moody Garden attractions are just $5!   Moody Gardens

Tues Jan 19th

         Experiment! 2-5pm
           *Drop in anytime between 2-5 for experiments and science based play!  Experiment!

         Kids Camp - Teacher Work Day - Clay Minions 10am-12pm
        *Kids can come and create minions out of clay!! They can either make a large minion or a few small minions! Cost is $25.    Kids Camp - Minions

       *Join Presenter: Master Naturalist Root Choyce for a walk around the Bay!  Explore the marshes and all the inhabitants that live there.   Bay Walk

        Homeschool Kids 2-3pm
         *The theme for this activity is "Sizing Things Up." It explores non standard measurement.  GCM Calendar

Chick-fil-A League Town Center (Off Island)
         Monster Jam Family Night 4-8pm
         *Visit Chick-fil-A to see Bounty Hunter (a monster truck). There will be raffles, autographs and face painting.    Monster Jam

         Shrek the Musical 7pm

      Beach Combing 101 10-11:00am  
      *Join Ranger Lisa for a shell hunting workshop and exploration!   Beach Combing 101
      Camera Phone Hike 1-2pm
      *Learn great tips from Ranger Lisa on how to use your camera phone to take great pics! Hike will start at the Nature Center.    Camera Phone Hike
      Bay Tower Hike 3:30-4:30pm
     *Cast nets and eat edible plants on a hike to the observation tower!    Bay Tower Hike

Moody Methodist Labyrinth
       Full Moon Labyrinth Walk: Wolf Moon 6:30pm
       *The public is welcome to participate in a full moon walk of the Labyrinth. Walk begins approximately 1/2 hour after sunset.   Labyrinth Walk
