Galveston Restaurant Week
       Everyday Jan 9th-16th
         *Brought to you by Galveston.com & Company. During these two weeks, participating restaurants will be offering special lunches and dinners. And all are priced right, from $10-$40. This is a great way to try out a restaurant you have been wanting to try!    Restaurant Week

        *Come for stories, music, puppets, and fun!
        Paws to Read 3:30-4:30pm (Jan 8th-May 13th - Every Friday)

2508 Post Office
      Galveston’s Own Farmers Market 9-1pm  (Every Sunday)    
      *Pick up some local produce and help support local farmers and growers. They usually have a kids corner here and an artist playing some tunes.  Farmers Market

         Children's Art Glass 3-6pm
        *For children ages 6-14! Cost is $20 per class; art supplies and snacks provided. Tremont Gallery will be offering these every Friday afternoon with a different theme each class.   Children's Art Class

       Heavenly Night Hike 5:30-6:30pm
       *Join Ranger Lisa for a night under the stars! Learn about the stars and the importance of the dark. Hot cocoa available!    Heavenly Night Hike

Clay Cup Studios
        Tween Night 5:30-8:30pm
        *Fun night for the tweens! This class is you will be making clay Mardi Gras masks!  Cost is $35  and food and drinks will be provided. This is for ages 9-13. Call or register online!   Tween Night

Moody Gardens
        Birding 201 9-11am
        *This class is designed to actually go and spy on the birds around the island. This class if $5 and Moody Gardens will provide transportation. Call to register! An older child who is interested in birds and wildlife may love this class!   Birding 201

         Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade 1:00-3:00pm
         *Come out on Saturday to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The parade starts at 29th & Church. For the entire parade route click here:  MLK Parade

      Beach Combing 101 10-11:00am  
      *Join Ranger Lisa for a shell hunting workshop and exploration!   Beach Combing 101
      Camera Phone Hike 1-2pm
      *Learn great tips from Ranger Lisa on how to use your camera phone to take great pics! Hike will start at the Nature Center.    Camera Phone Hike
      Bay Tower Hike 3:30-4:30pm

The Grand 1894 Opera House
         Galveston Symphony Orchestra Pops Concert 7pm
        *Have an older child who loves music? This would be such a fun concert for them! The concert is titled "Dance!" Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for students. Purchase tickets and more information here:  Galveston Symphony
