Weekly Events & Activities Jun 5th-11th
I hope everyone stayed dry today and was still able to enjoy some fun activities! This week should be a great week! Paws to Read starts back up on Monday at the library and they are also having Chess for Kids! On Tuesday, the Galveston Beach Band is back for the summer! They always put on a great show and make it fun for the kids. Artist Boat is hosting World Oceans Day on Thursday that sounds like it will have lots of cool things. Saturday brings the Fathers Day Shaving Workshop at Clay Cup, African American Cultural Festival, Commissioning of USS Gabrielle Giffords (take tours of the ship through the week!), and Turtle Patrol Jr. at the State Park. And if you feel like keeping the kids up on Sunday, the city of Galveston has started Stay & Play Sunday with a fireworks show over the gulf! It will happen every Sunday throughout the summer. Sea Star Base Galveston
Schooner Sundays 11-5pm (Every Sunday)

Watch the pelicans soar over Offatts Bayou as you head into the Intercostal Waterway and pass under the Galveston Causeway Bridge. Be awed at the marine cargo vessels maneuvering in the Galveston and Houston Ship Channels. Dolphins surfacing are always exciting! Departing from and returning to the Sea Scout Base Galveston.
