Happy May y'all!! On the island, that means summer is pretty much here - haha! This Thursday is your last chance for Paws to Read until the summer program. If you have been wanting to check it out, make it this week! On Saturday, the kiddos can build a pot to give to mom for Mother's Day at Home Depot! Or stop in at Clay Cup Studios for Mother's Day gift making day! For Star Wars fans, Movie Nite on the Strand will be showing Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Lemonade Day is on Sunday, so make sure to stop at one of the stands around town to support the young entrepreneurs. It should be a fun week!

*I started adding local Facebook events to my Facebook page. But please make sure you are checking the rundown or monthly calendar for all events! Many local events and activities do not have a Facebook event created for them.
*The splash pad and area pool list should be out this week. Please send me any pools that you know in the area that are open to the public, for a fee or free!
*A monthly newsletter is on my to do list to start creating. This will keep you informed in case you are missing posts. Let me know if you are interested and if you have ideas on would like included!

*Come be a kid with your kids and let your infants and toddlers enjoy some sensory activities while creating fun and cute pieces of art. The class is over in 2 hours, but the memories will last a lifetime! Call to reserve a space, $20 per class, all art supplies, snacks and drinks included.

Sea Star Base Galveston
Schooner Sundays 11-5pm (Every Sunday)
*Get a fresh start to the day and set sail on the Galveston Sea Scout Base's schooner boat during "Schooner Sundays." *Looking for something FUN? Hop aboard the M/V Baysmart Express for a 3 hour informative and scenic tour! Watch the pelicans soar over Offatts Bayou as you head into the Intercostal Waterway and pass under the Galveston Causeway Bridge. Be awed at the marine cargo vessels maneuvering in the Galveston and Houston Ship Channels. Dolphins surfacing are always exciting! Departing from and returning to the Sea Scout Base Galveston.
