Welcome to Galveston Island Kids! GIK was started as a way for parents to keep up with kid friendly happenings around Galveston. Galveston is a great place for kids and there is always activities and events taking place! When I first moved here, I searched for a resource that would help me find out everything that is happening on a daily basis. I really could not find something that covered it all. So Galveston Island Kids is here! My hope is that parents on and off island will follow on Facebook to get updated about events and activities. I'll then have a link to this blog that will expand on the event or activity further. I also hope to post reviews of beaches, restaurants, parks, etc. that will help parents and visitors of Galveston Island. Please be patient as I get the blog and Facebook page up and running!
