It's the last week of March and Easter weekend! On Monday, Rosenberg Library is having a Story Fair Open House. If your child attends story fair with their school, this is a great way to see what it is all about! Throwback Thursday movie night is Thursday also at Rosenberg Library. Your Easter Egg Hunts are all on Saturday and Sunday - make sure to check the Easter Egg Hunts and Bunny Sightings list HERE. I'm working on the Summer Camp List for 2018, so please send any summer camps to me that will be offered this summer! Have fun egg hunting!!

Hope everyone had a great spring break! This week is pretty quiet following spring break. Friday is Teen Trivia Night at Rosenberg Library. On Saturday head over to the Galveston Island Book Festival, Jamaica Beach Market, or Cirque Eloize: Saloon at The Grand. Weekly Events & Activities Mar 12th-18th

Happy spring break week! There are lots of activities going on this week to keep us all busy for spring break! If you are looking for a camp, there are camps at Sea Star Base, Galveston Arts Center, and Clay Cup Studios. The library is having lots of fun events this week, including Texas Snakes Show on Monday and Magic Show with James Austin Banner on Thursday. On Wednesday, Sea Star Base is teaming up with SMART Family Literacy for Pi Day Celebration. Registration is required, so check to make sure there are still spots! Over the weekend, check out St. Patrick's Day Festival at Holy Family Parish, Kids Spring Break Fishing Tourney at Galveston Fishing Pier, Ghost Hike and Mermaid Tales at Galveston Island State Park, and Family Beach Challenge at Stewart Beach! Have a safe and fun spring break!!

       *The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be at Lindale Park this year! Come hunt 3000 eggs! 3 different age group hunts. Family fun hot dogs and games! Children are required to be accompanied by an adult.

Moody Gardens
        Breakfast with a Bunny  9:00-10:30am
       *Come get into the Easter spirit and enjoy breakfast with the Easter Bunny from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.. The festivities will include breakfast, train rides, one Easter treat bag per child, and face painting. Create family memories with Easter Bunny photos, available to purchase ($8 for Members, $16 for Non-members.) Price: Non-member: $30 per Adult, $20 per Child (Ages 5-12)
Member: $20 per Adult, $15 per Child (Ages 5-12)

Sunday April 1st

Galveston's Own Farmers Market
        Easter Egg Hunt & Celebration at GOFM 10:30am
        *Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is back, and this time we're thrilled to host it on the spectacular grounds of The Bryan Museum - Galveston! The well-tended gardens, magnificent oaks and large lawn are the perfect spot to search for eggs. For the 4th year in a row, Society for Neuroscience Galveston will sponsor all the eggs & help us do the hiding. (All the eggs are filled with goodies, but there's two treasure eggs that win you a special basket chockful of yummy things from our market vendors!!) We'll also have face-painting with local artist Mel Black and balloon animals from Jill the Clown during the entire market! Bring your family & enjoy what GOFM has to offer!

Maceo's
        Maceo's Egg Hunt (After Service) 10am-12pm
        *Egg hunt after service, ECM Moonwalks, photos with the Easter bunny!

Moody Gardens
        Easter in the Gardens 11am-3pm
       *Free to the public, the Annual Easter Egg Hunts are scheduled, for children 9 years old and younger are invited to explore the Oleander Bowl in pursuit of eggs and treats. The Easter Bunny stops by for the fun as kids also play a variety of games for prizes and a petting zoo. In addition to all of the fun and excitement outdoors, Easter Buffet feasts will be available at both the Garden Restaurant and the Moody Gardens Hotel on Easter Sunday.

MY FIRST EASTER
The My First Easter Area will be open to children 1 year old and younger from 11 a.m.-3:00 p.m.. This is a photo opportunity area for parents to take pictures with the little ones.

       *Ever done an Easter Egg hunt in the dark with glow in the dark eggs? This one sounds fun so grab you basket and hop on by the Alvin Parks & Recreation's Lights Out Easter Egg Hunt!

Helen Hall Library - League City
       Special Needs Kids' Easter Egg Hunt 3-5pm
       *This is such a cool idea and event! Mom of special needs son, Katherine Sanger, is hosting an egg hunt to provide for kids who cannot attend other egg hunts, because of the assistance they may need from a parent.  If your child could benefit from an egg hunt designed to fit his or her needs, register for the event beforehand. Space is limited, as Katherine is financing this on her own.  Donations are helpful, so please let her know if you can provide some assistance too.  Groups of 35 will hunt for eggs every 30 minutes. Helen Hall Library is only providing the facilities for this event and cannot answer any questions, so please do not contact them with questions!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! This week is Family Free Night at Galveston Children's Museum on Thursday.  On Friday night, head over to Sea Star Base for a family friendly movie night! They will be showing Sing! On Saturday enjoy the 40th Corvette Chevy Expo, Family Day at Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig and Museum, and Music Nite on the Strand. The Galveston Symphony Orchestra is playing a show at The Grand on Sunday. Have a great week!
