Get your beads ready - it's Mardi Gras time!!! All the fun starts Friday night with the Funky Uptown Umbrella Brigade on the Strand! On Saturday you can view The Mystic Krewe of Aquarius Kick Off Parade for free as it heads down the seawall! If you want to pay to go on the strand (which I suggest going during the day with kids) you can view the Zaniest Golf Cart Parade and Art Car Parade. Then on the seawall comes the Krewe of Gambrinus Parade at night! I love seeing the floats all lit up!! On Sunday, check out Fiesta Gras on the strand! Happy Mardi Gras y'all - go get your beads!!!

*Come be a kid with your kids and let your infants and toddlers enjoy some sensory activities while creating fun and cute pieces of art. The class is over in 2 hours, but the memories will last a lifetime! Call to reserve a space, $20 per class, all art supplies, snacks and drinks included.

Sea Star Base Galveston
Schooner Sundays 11-5pm (Every Sunday)
*Get a fresh start to the day and set sail on the Galveston Sea Scout Base's schooner boat during "Schooner Sundays." The massive sailing beauty leaves Offats Bayou just after noon each Sunday and sails out to destinations beyond Galveston causeway. M/V Baysmart Express Public Cruise 12:30-4pm (Every Saturday)
*Looking for something FUN? Hop aboard the M/V Baysmart Express for a 3 hour informative and scenic tour! Watch the pelicans soar over Offatts Bayou as you head into the Intercostal Waterway and pass under the Galveston Causeway Bridge. Be awed at the marine cargo vessels maneuvering in the Galveston and Houston Ship Channels. Dolphins surfacing are always exciting! Departing from and returning to the Sea Scout Base Galveston.
