Weekly Events & Activities Aug 21st-27th
It has been so hot on the island recently. Hope some of you are cooling off in the new city pool! Monday is the big event across the nation with the Solar Eclipse of the Century! Galveston will be getting a partial eclipse and it will start about 11:45am with the fullest coverage happening about 1:15pm. Make sure you take the proper precautions (special glasses!) before looking at the sun directly. Rosenberg Library has some activities for the teens this week with Throwback Thursday movie night on Thursday and Wii U and Board Games on Friday. Saturday there is an event called Battle on the Bay where there will be dragon boat and stand up paddle board racing. Sounds fun to watch! Artwalk is also Saturday night. Try to stay cool out there!
