       Wings of Wonder Bird Show (Jun 4th-Aug 20th - 12pm, 2pm, & 4pm - Daily)
       *Get up close to owls, falcons, hawks, vultures and a variety of other bird species as you learn about these amazing creatures and their place in nature.
       Bands on the Sand (Jun 4th-Aug 13 - 6-10pm - Every Friday & Saturday)
       *This live music series runs throughout the summer following each show with fireworks over the Moody Gardens pyramids and Offatts Bayou. Admission to each concert is $15 and free for kids three and under. Bands on the Sand will be held from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. every Friday and Saturday through August 13. 
       Dive in Movie Night (Jun 9th-Aug 11th - Every Thursday)
       *Join Moody Gardens every Thursday night at Palm Beach for a family-friendly Dive in Movie! Just $12 after 6 p.m. (included with day passes and memberships). Movie starts at dusk and all pools will remain open with the exception of the Tower Slides. *Please note that specific movie titles will only be promoted onsite due to licensing reasons.        Galveston Beach Band 7:30pm (Jun 7th- Aug 16th - Every Tuesday)
       *Join the Galveston Beach Band every Tuesday evening this summer beginning June 7th at 7:30 PM for a weekly outdoor summer pop band concert.  Every concert is free and offers great musical entertainment for the entire family! Kids play maracas, do the hokey pokey, and have a parade at the end! Galveston Beach Band

       Summer Art Program for Kids 9-10am (Ages 5-8), 10:30am-12:30pm (Ages 9-12) (Jun 10th-Aug 12 - Every Friday)
       *Friday morning classes are divided into two age groups: for 5-8 year-olds ($11 per class,) and for 9-12 year-olds ($22 per class.)  Taught by professional, working artists with teaching experience, the classes include topics like painting, printmaking, portraits, sculpture, comics and more.

Sea Scout Base Galveston
       Schooner Sundays 11-5pm (Every Sunday)
       *Get a fresh start to the day and set sail on the Galveston Sea Scout Base's schooner boat during "Schooner Sundays." The massive sailing beauty leaves Offats Bayou just after noon each Sunday and sails out to destinations beyond Galveston causeway. A licensed captain and “spot tracker” is aboard the ship, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. *Check with website for cost involved*
       M/V Baysmart Express Public Cruise 12:30-4pm (Every Saturday)
       *Looking for something FUN? Hop aboard the M/V Baysmart Express for a 3 hour informative and scenic tour! Watch the pelicans soar over Offatts Bayou as you head into the Intercostal Waterway and pass under the Galveston Causeway Bridge. Be awed at the marine cargo vessels maneuvering in the Galveston and Houston Ship Channels. Dolphins surfacing are always exciting! Departing from and returning to the Sea Scout Base Galveston. Boarding at 12:30 - Departing at 1:00pm. Overflow parking with shuttle service available. Adults: $30 | Kids (Under 12): $20 | Kids 5 and Under: Free  SSB Calendar

Artist Boat
       Bucket Brigade Interpretive Beach Tours 9:30am-4:30pm (Tours departing at various times - Daily in the summer)
       *Come spend an hour on a Bucket Brigade Interpretive Beach Tour, and learn about the creatures and features that make Galveston's marine and coastal ecosystems so special! Tours provide free hands-on exploration of questions such as: Why does the water change colors? How is seaweed a good thing? How do I connect to the ocean? The tours are educational and fun for ocean lovers of all ages. Each tour caps at 20 participants, but with multiple tours each day, they welcome individuals and groups. Sign-up for tours is on location, but if your group would like to reserve a tour, email the Bucket Brigade Coordinator at kguidroz@artistboat.org, or call Artist Boat at (409)770-0722.        Summer at the Seaport: Set a Sail 2-3:30pm
       *Set a sail! –  Ever wonder what life was like for a sailor in the 19th century? Join Texas Seaport Museum’s volunteer crew in setting a sail at dock on the 1877 Iron Barque ELISSA! Participants will learn the language of seafaring, how to work together as a group and what it took to make it out on the high seas! Tickets for each class are $3 for children under five, $12 for youth aged 6-18 and $15 for adults and available online or by calling 409-763-1877. Set a Sail

       Turtle Patrol Jr. 6-7pm  
       *Become a Jr. Ranger and help save the sea turtles! You can become a citizen scientist, and help the park to understand more about the Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtle, an endangered species that nests Galveston Island State Park. You will take a stroll down the beach and explore ways to help the environment. Meet at the day use picnic area and begin a short hike down the beach and through the dunes, patrolling for turtles on this easy, evening beach hike. Great for anyone wanted to become a Jr. Ranger. Families, groups, and pets on a leash are welcome. Jr. Ranger Edition focuses on more hands-on and kid-friendly activities and topics.

        Kids Workshop: Ice Age Bowling Game 9am-12pm
       *Join Home Depot's hands-on workshop and you and your child can create a cool Ice Age: Collision Course bowling game. Once the game is built, your child can decorate it with stickers of characters in the new Ice Age movie. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin. Kids Workshop

       *Walks led by Galveston Bay Area Texas Master Naturalists - come and make memories with your family and friends.   
       Sand Castle Contest 2:30-3:30pm
       *Ranger Lisa will clear an area for our contest, and bring some gear for you to use. The park wants to see what kind of castle you can make, so you're invited to spend some time gathering materials, building a structure, and decorating it to your liking! Prizes awarded to participants, but you can enter youth into our Arts in the Parks contest, via the Get to Know website for bigger prizes (ages 0-19yrs): Get to Know  Only sand castles made during the program count. No prior experience or materials needed.

       International Surfing Day 6:30-8am
       *Surf Rider is celebrating the ocean, surfing, passing out breakfast tacos, and cleaning the beach. They want you to join them!!  How can you help? You can from volunteering for a beach clean-up to becoming a member or make a donation to support our network. But most importantly, get out and enjoy your favorite beach! International Surfing Day

       Garden Bros Circus 4:30-7:30pm
       *HERE COMES THE CIRCUS! And Garden Brothers Circue has everything you’d expect to see at a Circus. Motorcycle Madness’ has motorcycle daredevils somersaulting and spinning in a big Globe of Doom; Chinese Acrobats, the Human Slingshot, Racing Camels, crazy comedy with Circus Clowns, daring aerialists; cirque artists. Its 1½ hours of excitement and fun! Free children’s tickets have been distributed at all elementary schools, pre-schools, day care centers and churches.        Bucket Brigade Interpretive Beach Tours 9:30am-4:30pm (Tours departing at various times - Daily in the summer)
       *Come spend an hour on a Bucket Brigade Interpretive Beach Tour, and learn about the creatures and features that make Galveston's marine and coastal ecosystems so special! Tours provide free hands-on exploration of questions such as: Why does the water change colors? How is seaweed a good thing? How do I connect to the ocean? The tours are educational and fun for ocean lovers of all ages. Each tour caps at 20 participants, but with multiple tours each day, they welcome individuals and groups.        *The city of Galveston will have two Juneteenth parades June 18. The first one will begin at noon beginning at 26th and Winnie streets and will end at 41st and Ball streets.        Galveston Cajun Crawfish Festival (All weekend - Jun 17-19)
       *Get ready to celebrate the best of Texas and Louisiana-styled foods, have fun with the entire family — all while enjoying the cool and flavorful sounds of some of the best musical entertainment around. In addition to vendors selling arts and crafts, food, and other wares, festival goers can look forward to succulent crawfish, Texas barbecue, seafood, beer, and drinks! Live entertainment will feature Zydeco and blues bands, while children can have fun in their own Kid’s Zone — with activities planned for youngsters of all ages.The festival will take place rain or shine!
